Kelli Sae

“The depth and realness of her performance and songwriting is undeniable and downright intoxicating. You’re pulled into Sae’s world within seconds…” - Billboard Magazine

Internationally acclaimed vocalist Kelli Sae is not new to the limelight, and she's not blinded by it either. She is the former lead vocalist for global jazz/funk collective, Incognito, and the long-time lead vocalist for the band, Count Basic.

She has performed around the world and worked with legends such as Tina Turner, Paul Simon, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Eddie Palmieri, Lionel Richie, Philippe Saisse, Michelle N’degeocello, and many more. In 2008, Count Basic won an Amadeus award for the song “Visible Scars” and in 2015 Kelli and Peter Legat (Band Leader and Founder of Count Basic) were inducted into the Wall Of Fame in Vienna.
Kelli is currently the Principal Vocalist on the hit television show “Dancing With The Stars.”

New York-born and bred with Puerto Rican, Native/African American blood, she says of her childhood soundscape: “Music in our house ranged from the Spanish classics of Tito Puente and Celia Cruz to the Jazz stylings of Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington to the soulful sound of James Brown and Motown.“

Her music is a masala of sounds, cultures and influences that drive her instincts. Put all of these instruments, rhythms and beats together and you have an audacious sound that is distinctly Kelli Sae. Whimsical, fresh and boundless!
